Ashford visit

Writer: Ola HamdanOla Hamdan

We formed finalising the chair design, worked in the University metal workshop, and went to Ashford at our friend Eliot’s house as he has a metal workshop.

The idea of cutting half the chair and adding metal strips is to represent the slave’s ribs to give an uncomfortable and guilty feeling to the person sitting there and drills the seat with metal rods to give it a sense of discomfort.

We had spent a lovely time there as a group.
